PROMPT: Hard Work

In what ways does hard work make you feel fulfilled?

Presuming there is a product or productive outcome, therein lies the fulfillment.

If the work is Sisyphean, it chafes my preference for wu wei.

PROMPT: More

What could you do more of?

Walk in natural settings.

PROMPT: Energy

What things give you energy?

Breath and food. But I also find movement, music, and being in a natural setting feel energizing,

PROMPT: Evening

What are you doing this evening?

Probably just reading and otherwise restfully winding down from the day.

But who can know what the future holds?

PROMPT: Ideal Week

Daily writing prompt
Describe your ideal week.

The first week of October.

PROMPT: Athletes

Daily writing prompt
Name the professional athletes you respect the most and why.

I generally leave admiration for professional athletes to others, as I feel — like other entertainment celebrities — they get an unhealthy level of adoration as it is.

That said, I have been impressed by grappler Mikey Musumeci for the intensity of his training regime and for finding his own way.

PROMPT: Relax

Daily writing prompt
How do you relax?

I usually don’t find it too difficult. I find reading and free writing conducive to relaxation. In cases in which I’m wound up, I move and / or exercise intensely. If I ever need to achieve relaxation expeditiously, I use Visama Vritti Pranayama or PMR (progressive muscle relaxation.)

PROMPT: Grudge

Daily writing prompt
Are you holding a grudge? About?

No. It’s not that I’m insufficiently petty, but rather that I lack the requisite memory and passion for such things.

I once read about a psychopath who claimed that when he was wronged, he would hold onto it, bide his time, and get his nemesis with a commensurate reply at a later date — often years later when other person had completely forgotten about the matter. Quite frankly, I don’t know how he had the mental energy.

PROMPT: Tear of Joy

Daily writing prompt
What brings a tear of joy to your eye?

Mac-n-Cheese.

But seriously, I don’t think I’m acquainted with the experience.

PROMPT: Blog

Why do you blog?

A quick and easy fix of creative output.

That said, by the original definition of “blog,” it could be argued that I don’t blog and never did much of it, as my posts are not of a journaling / thoughts on “X” variety and rarely have been.
