As I walk through the woods,
I flow through something
As it flows around & against me...

I just feel the slightest of drags
As I feel the greatest of exhilarations.
The drag is subtle...

Whatever it is in nature --
I don't know.
But I know there is an interaction,
Of sorts,
Like a free end through a noose...

flits about the woods on a
bright morning, Brown.
the pass is snowy;
though low country types think it
the cusp of Summer.
willows dangle
over flowing waters:
reaching not touching.
the wasp hive:
its crescent entrances
see steady to & fro.
I still remember drinking on the Bridge of Noon
With bright wits of the day.
The silent moon
On endless river rolled away.
In lacy shadows cast by apricot flowers
We played our flutes till morning hours.
O'er twenty years have passed like dreams;
It is a wonder that I'm still alive.
Carefree, I mount the tower bathed in moonbeams.
So many things passed long
Ago survive
Only in fishermen's midnight song.
