 on a coracle boat
  without nudging it.

trailside chicory
 waves on a windless day:
  a long-gone cyclist?

the flower bobs
 on its long, stiff stem.
 the sage is unmoved.

early morning:
 it's still dark & darkly still.
  one boat floats through.

a painted stork
 stands so still on one leg,
  passers think it fake.

the flowing river
 looks still as glass, until
  fallen leaf ripples.

with taut anchor line,
 the fisherman's boat looks still
  in flowing waters.
