Tiger Riding for Beginners

Traveling Poet Philosopher & Occasional Wiseacre

with taut anchor line,
 the fisherman's boat looks still
  in flowing waters.

“turn left to go right”:
 branches sweep around in arcs,
  is the tree moving?

the fish drifts - barely:
 then, with a snap of its tail,
  it darts to the depths.

hay is baled, and
 the pasture is empty: 
  still, but for cloud drift.

 still of body,
