What I Know about Beaches [Free Verse]

On a sandy beach,
I think of each grain
of sand as being
the same.

But on a pebble beach,
Each stone has its own
color, texture, size,
and shape.

It's made me second guess
What I know about beaches.

Melancholia [Haiku]

beach in winter:
fully clothed walkers shrug
against a cold breeze.

Stony Beach [Haiku]

gray winter day:
i walk the stony beach, and
note each rock 's unique.

Dark Day at the Beach [Haiku]

people sit in sand,
and look to the water --
  ignoring dark clouds.

Pebble Walks [Haiku]

crude tracks weave, merge,
& part on the pebble beach:
  sober drunkards' walk.

Summer Storms [Haiku]
