a leaf falls,
and I feel the "Whee!" --
briefly

the city below
is subdued by fog,
the hill beams color

the day is cold,
but the sun is out, and 
the water sparkles

graves in autumn.
under red-leafed trees --
soon to be bare

Fall foliage
against vivid blue skies
cheers the mind

fleabane daisies
brighten the roadside
on an autumn day

Vines crawl along the wall --
an organism in sprawl.

Their leaves turn red,
arterial at the ends,
venous in late Fall.

autumn afternoon.
the sun penetrates deeply,
feeding the grass

the forest road
is cleared of leaf litter
by speeding cars

a red fallen leaf
becomes a pair of 
luscious lips
