Syllables Matter [Lyric Poem]

Sometimes the syllables matter:
It meant to say, “Stow cars away
Someplace that is not here.”

But just one unfortunate break
Is all it takes to make it say:
“Middling Monarchs are Banned.”

Vowel Goof, Or: Spelling Matters [Lyric Poem]

The sign read: "Flee Market,"
and so, of course, I fled.
 The hawkers called to me
as I sped like hot lead.

From what I was fleeing,
    I have no idea.
But I found a cheap chair
    down at the IKEA.

Tautology [Lyric Poem]

It seems there's no need for a sign
   that says: "No Outsiders, Inside!"
Wherever you may draw the line,
   it can't sensibly be denied
that the outsider who steps across -
having crossed - is an insider.
No need to consult the rules or boss
Re: the "IN" side of the divider.

Why Words Matter (Even the Small Ones) [Senryū]

I wonder if scale of the diagram is indicative of the degree to which each is a problem, or what?

This was taken at the Goethe Institute in Bangalore. Normally one doesn’t see such fancy signage requesting one refrain from urination because… well, because all the urine on such signs tend to erode the paint away.

A St. Paddy’s Day Note

My website will be sporting green through St. Patrick’s Day.

That is all.
