PROMPT: Positive Example

Daily writing prompt
Can you share a positive example of where you’ve felt loved?

I’m not sure I understand the question. I generally associate the feeling of love with positivity, but the wording suggests a contrast to the negative examples of feeling loved.

Also, not sure whether “where” is meant to refer to a part of the body, a city, a region, a country, a room of the house, etc.

Polished Copper [Haiku]

Winter's warm light
on coppery Cyprus leaves
makes a polished glow.

Safety First [Haiku]

Two turtles on a rock surrounded by water.
stony fortress,
moated: turtle stretches neck
out to sniff the air.

DAILY PHOTO: Ship on the Mississippi with New Orleans Skyline

A photograph of a large merchant ship transiting the Mississippi with the New Orleans skyline in the background.

Acorn [Senryū]

A squirrel in New Orleans' City Park, eating an acorn on a power pole.
startled squirrel drops
its nut; so sad for it, but
we all get a tree.

PROMPT: Clutter

Daily writing prompt
Where can you reduce clutter in your life?

My brain.

Mobile Home [Common Meter]

Turtle exits its hiding place
beneath a rotten log.
Its shell snags on that old, dead wood
he drags the log along.
Does he know that he's double-shelled?
He seems so unaware.
When he breaks free, he gains no speed --
just crawls on like he don't care.

Stumped [Free Verse]

Photo taken on the Butch Kennedy Hiking Trail near Lake Hartwell in South Carolina.
A stump in the forest
is like a gap in a
wedding party photo
where they photoshopped
out a renegade relative,
but forgot to erase
the person's loafers.

The Industrial Disease [Lyric Poem]

The runs of an old mill at Vickery Creek Park in Atlanta.
I heard the last gasp and wheeze
of Industry's fatal disease.
Why would we need any workers?
We don't need factories!
We'll grow it all from nanobots
in a closet where you please.
There'll be a 3-D printer, printing
printers endlessly.
You won't hear another mention
of Industrial Disease.
The question is not how or where
to make it, that'll be a breeze.
The question on economist's minds...
that strains their expertise.
Is how will slobs who have no jobs
pay for their indices?
