Turtle’s Back [Haiku]

water rolls
over rock rounded like
a turtle's shell

Daisies [Haiku]

two white daisies
smile bright and strong among
the wilted purples

Red Maple [Haiku]

a red maple leaf
flutters from a tree
to adorn my coat

The Shimmer Space [Common Meter]

I fell into a deep dreamhole
amid the broad daylight,
and tumbled and tumbled, stumbling
out in the dark of night.

I lost so many hours of life
where reflections shimmer.
I could not breathe, nor could I float -
I, the swimless swimmer.

I dropped, lost in those reflections.
They were my mind's great curse,
luring me to a shimmer space
that I could not traverse.

Biodestiny [Free Verse]

linked machine to machine
we're bio-destined to oblivion

we can take our fidget romps,
but we're still turds migrating
through a litterbox called life

among us are sentient volcanoes,
self-aware, but not aware

Rock at the End of the World [Haiku]

rock swells from sea,
a perfect perch to think on
the world's end

Still Water [Haiku]

boats in still water,
subdued prows reflect
a world below

Only Up [Haiku]

shaggy parasol
sits by the sidewalk,
knowing only up

Stone Pines [Haiku]

stunted pines
grow from the granite
green and thick
