 a jewelwing stands - still.
  it'd blend, if not so blue.

 doesn't it know it should start green,
  and turn red in the Fall?

the world beyond
 the nearest tree
  often feels suspect.

a tree grows
 out of stone ruins -
  not so ancient

a tree on the shore, 
 in stony ground & briny
  water, thrives!

one shaggy branch
 cranes out over the shore,
  receives light reward
