Cold Lilies [Haiku]

water lilies
on a cold, gray day:
half-open, unkempt.

“The Lilly” by William Blake [w/ Audio]

The modest Rose puts forth a thorn,
The humble Sheep a threat’ning horn;
While the Lilly white shall in Love delight,
Nor a thorn, nor a threat, stain her beauty bright.

The Lily [Haiku]

a single lily
stands out in a pond of pads:
bright to browned.

Rise & Shine [Haiku]

canna lily blooms
catch the light of sunrise as
stems sleep in the shade.

Lily Pac-Man [Senryū]

Pac-Men multiply:
 sought by too few upside-down
  lily “ghosts.”
