one autumn tree
contains all the colors:
spring green to winter ____

when Fall leaves are green 
and pale yellow, i get 
citrus autumn mind

a patch of leaves.
some: light green and veiny;
others: black blobs

displays unique artistry;
green ones all look the same

the algae pond -
dappled with leafy fractals,
 patterns shift.
what moves: water or branch?
or, perhaps, just my mind

leaf-lined walks
in the cemetery --
autumn's elegy

each leaf bleeds red
with its own blotched pattern
in its own time

a red maple leaf
flutters from a tree
to adorn my coat

the last leaf
flutters to the ground
too soon for winter
