one dandelion
stands alone at field's edge;
where are its friends?

the day is cold,
but the sun is out, and 
the water sparkles

graves in autumn.
under red-leafed trees --
soon to be bare

the stone statue
in the fore feels more real than
the stone wall in fog

Fall foliage
against vivid blue skies
cheers the mind

a great wall stands
between a cricket and
the food it seeks

some find Christmas mind
in "It's a Wonderful Life"
i, through holly berries

the river reflects
the sky's blue; yet the river
looks a deeper blue

fog, down the river,
erases all traces of 
the world beyond

in a cave,
under a city
lie seashells
