the Feathertop sways,
as the river beside it glides
inexorably

a leaf falls,
and I feel the "Whee!" --
briefly

dog guards church
by being a trip-hazard...
and doing it well

as the sun sets,
a ship moves out to sea
what's ocean dark?

pink trumpet flowers 
densely clustered above;
under foot next week

nesting birds
unmoved by their reflected 
doppelgängers

the city below
is subdued by fog,
the hill beams color

the dragonfly
is still, and I wonder
whether it's dead,
and further wonder whether
anyone has thought that of me

a park at night.
the shadows are darker
because of the light

the moth is still. 
is it alive or dead?
how patient am i?
