bloom-laden branch
 stretches to reach beyond 
  the shadows... but no.

the red hibiscus
 draws attention to itself,
  while pointing downward.

a bloom falls to earth;
 lit up by the morning sun,
  it glows… for a time.

rain-laden blossom
 falls… lands with a sound,
  in the mud.

the cannonball tree:
 blooms bright & intricate, 
  but never delicate.

blooms & berries
 color the scrublands
  as summer peaks.
