cascades across the chasm,
and my eye wanders

the early trail
is bare and well-defined; 
the deep trail hides

a snowy park.
chubby birds flit about
in search of seed

watching monkeys 
watch humans, watching monkeys;
ad infinitum

one monkey minds
its own business; the other
has mischief in mind

a farmer surveys
his new stretch of sea,
mulling careers

house & garden
glisten from a soaking
of June rains

chicory -
its little blue flowers sway,
 dancing with stems
