Taken in June of 2015 at the Hidimba Devi Temple in Manali
The temple at this location dates to 1553, and is built over a cave that is said to be where Hadimbi Devi–sister of Hadimba–meditated. It sits amid a forest of deodars, which is a Himalayan species of cedar tree.
This is the main gate of the Chennakesava Temple at Belur. It’s a Hoysala era temple that dates to the early 12th century and is in the running for UNESCO World Heritage Site status.
This was taken at a Jain temple that’s about 160km (100mi.) from Bangalore. It has one of the world’s largest monolithic sculptures. The pics below give more indication of size.
