autumn.
cloudless skies:
cool blue

one coffee plant
sticks out while all others
fade into dusk

in the savanna,
a butterfly finds one bloom
amid the dry plants

lazy boats
on a lazy river 
watched by lazy me

rickety bridge.
i focus on the green,
as planks creak.

two stone birds
carved into a temple plinth:
still impermanent!

a cat on a ledge
peers down with rapt focus.
looking for… what?

the bunny is still,
believing itself unseen,
but those ears don't blend
