flowers are rock stars:
 standing tall & proud before 
  the swaying grass.

goldenrod field, 
 now subdued, will soon blaze
  in the morning sun.

wildflowers 
 own the glade
  for a few days.

lurch & stop:
 the bee moves erratically
  amid yellow blooms.

Pac-Men multiply:
 sought by too few upside-down 
  lily “ghosts.”

fallen blossoms
 carpet the ground,
  mottled by sunlight.

buds & blossoms,
 in vibrant red, gussy up
  a dreary cityscape.

gusty city breeze
 tousles the flowers; the
  city backdrop blurs.

spheres of fluff
 hold strong against a breeze...
  until they don't.

black-eyed susans
 nudge me into Van Gogh's world,
  but not too deeply.
