in waning sunlight,
 the shapes of shadows shift
  as boats drift.

a writhing dragon,
 is painted by the sunset
  in vivid colors.

shadowland edges, 
 and a liquid metal stripe:
  river sunset.

the sun sets
 into a narrow glade:
  rolling downslope.

summer evening:
 long shadows climb steps
  their source won’t reach.

a shaft of sunlight
 sneaks past a blocking cloud:
  summer sunset.

sun sets behind trees,
 hiding a city in woodland 
  silhouette.
