Drift & Dart [Haiku]

the fish drifts - barely:
 then, with a snap of its tail,
  it darts to the depths.

Fish-Eye View [Common Meter]

Do I look blurry to a fish,
as if a floating cloud?
Does it expect I’ll dart away
as silence rings aloud?

Low Pond Pathos [Haiku]

 the fish look sad,
  and I feel sad.

Midday Fish Market [Haiku]

Fish Drift Relativity [Haiku]

 is always in drift,"
  thinks I, from the bank.

Ripples [Haiku]

with back to tree,
 i watch feeding fish ripple
  the mirrored pond.

No Cry [Haiku in contrast to Matsuo Bashō’s experience]

back at the trailhead:
 no birds cry;
  no fish weep.

Riffing on Matsuo Bashō’s haiku:

"Departing spring!
 Birds crying;
 Tears in the eyes of fish."

One Fish… Airport Fish? [Haiku]

in the airport,
 i stop mid-stride, a fish
  has my attention.

Tail Whip Splash [Haiku]

 in the koi pond; then:
  a tail whip splash
