in the desert,
the sunrise burns brightly,
as if sand burned

the spider’s mind
is one with the silken web,
tripped by vibration

turning towards one,
the sloth bear becomes
more bear than sloth

hugging a wall,
the tree stands suspended;
life finds a way

butterflies land,
but don't loiter, upon
buttery petals

golden bamboo
creaks & clacks in the wind,
and then is silent

water swirls
around smooth, wet rocks,
entrancing me

at the muddy shore,
reconstructing the scene
by reading tracks

after midnight
the city transmogrifies;
birthed anew at five

watching bubbles rise,
a screaming need to breathe
builds by the second
