rainclouds crawl nearer,
 like a battle cruiser
 inching towards war.

after Spring rains,
 puddles throw reflections 
  of light-fringed clouds.

clouds lift
 to reveal jade hills:
  Tah-Dahhhh!

pleasant summer day:
 city-dwellers look up,
  and watch clouds drift.

autumn afternoon:
 swollen clouds cut the light,
  it looks like sundown.

under dark clouds;
 yon hills at once bombarded 
  with light- & rainbands.

people sit in sand,
 and look to the water --
  ignoring dark clouds.

poets & artists
 sit in ornate houseboats,
  translating the clouds.

dark rain clouds
 hang around all day,
  without raining.

a writhing dragon,
 is painted by the sunset
  in vivid colors.
