Mirror [Free Verse]

The mirror lies, 
pretending to be a window.

Through the looking-glass?
My ass!

It presents a prison
in fine detail
& 
with a glossy coating,

but it can’t be escaped.

Its truth is overbearing.

That’s how it lies.
