  1. Hello, enjoyed your post. On a side note, we will be in Tokyo for about 2 days this June. It will be our 2nd time going there, any suggestions which places we should prioritize? We have only been to Tokyo Disney Sea. Cheers!

    • If you are interested in history, the Imperial Palace is a must. I would go by Kabuki-cho at night to see the neon; it’s an entertainment district full of pachinko parlors and bars. If you’re there are on a Sunday, you should pair a visit to the Meiji shrine and Harajuku to experience the juxtaposition of cos-play and very formal religiosity. The good news is that you can get everywhere in Tokyo by the train. The bad news is the full train map including subway, Japan Rail (JR) lines, and the department store lines looks like the wiring schematic for a jumbo jet. 2 days could easily be filled in Tokyo alone. There are places not far like Nikko that I would recommend if your visit were longer.

      • Appreciate your recommendations, Bernie. I’ll be sure to include the Imperial Palace on our itinerary. We hope to catch the cosplay as well since it’s a big part of Tokyo, well so I’ve heard. We’ll be sure to ask the locals and authorities should we get lost in Tokyo’s rail way transit. 🙂 Hoping not too much. Cheers!
