What, exactly, is a rest house? I vaguely recall passing “rest homes” as a child, where travelers could rent a bedroom for overnight, and today B&Bs — bread and breakfast houses — are popular. But is this somehow different? Just curious. Looks like a nice place.
In South Asia, rest houses and guesthouses are accommodations for travelers — either long-term or short-term — usually in places that don’t have hotels.
