It never occurs to me to travel to Estonia! It is like Budapest? The building tower on the left looks German.

It has some similarities to Budapest, but in other ways is quite different. There is a Scandinavian influence (it’s a short ferry ride across the Bay of Finland from Helsinki.) Estonian is one of the three major languages in the Finno-Ugric language group, which includes Hungarian (but Hungarian is not so clear a member of the group as the others. Some believe Hungarian should be a Turko-Uralic language.)

Thank you. By happenstance in 2011 we visited three countries (Finland, Estonia, and Hungary[which I’ve visited many times]) that make up the major languages of the Finno-Ugric language group (there are others but only those three are national languages–as I understand it.) That’s how I ended up learning that piece of trivia.
