This photo was shot on a drizzly day in 1989 at Trinity College, Cambridge University. It was converted from a film photo to digital, hence the sepia sky.
He went from a normal name to the monosyllabic name “Prince” to a symbol that couldn’t be pronounced (his publicist must have loved that idea). His new moniker is zero dimensional and, therefore, cannot be expressed on our two dimensional pages.
Sounds like a future Prince – or whatever he’s calling hmself now – song…Sepia Sky, Sepia Sky…
