Traveler

Me at Wat Arun in Bangkok.

At Wat Arun in Bangkok.

I am currently in my second multi-year period of living abroad. As an enlisted military man, I lived from 1988 to 1990 in England on a base called RAF Woodbridge. Now, I am living in Bangalore, India.

I’ve traveled to 30-ish countries so far, and I intend to keep expanding that number. I’ve stood awed in the presence of the Great Wall, Machu Picchu,  Tikal, Chichen Itza, Angkor Wat, Stonehenge, the Taj Mahal, Hampi, Times Square, and Amsterdam’s Red-light district.

I’ve taken advantage of my life in India to see many of the country’s incredible sights, both easily-accessed and not, well-known and not. These include the Keralan Backwaters; Coorgi Coffee Plantations; Mysore’s Wodeyar heritage sites; the magnificent temples of Belur, Halibidu, and Shravanbelagola; the spectacular caves of Ajanta and Ellora; Fatehpur Sikri, Mumbai, Delhi, Amritsar, Varanasi, Khajuraho, Varkala, and Kochi.

I intend to see much more, both in India and in Asia, before I return to life in the United States.
