Poem: Waking

Waking up — but uncertain from what…

-awaking from sleep?
-awaking from wakefulness?
-awaking from life?
-awaking from death?

All one knows is that a threshold has been overstepped.
Something inside feels new.
Something else feels ancient.

But nothing feels the same.

  1. Two poems with the same general theme. 🙂

I can actually relate also. Several years ago, for a few minutes, I’d achieved (if I recall the term correctly) false Bodhisattva. I felt connected to everything, then it was gone. My neck and back injuries have made spiritual work difficult at best, but with my current treatment regimen, I’m hoping to put more focus there again.
