VERY nice. More modern styled than I’d have expected also. Beautiful building and I’d say worthy of a few more pictures posted if you’re so inclined. 🙂
I guess I had typical Western preconceptions in mind and would have expected such a building to be designed to look similar to an old mosque or something similar. 🙂
They definitely favor modern architecture. Hopefully, it will age well (some “modern” seems to stay modern better than others.) Then again, I’m sure they will tear it down and replace it if it doesn’t (as long as the oil & gas revenues are still rolling in.)
That seems to have one of those “classic” designs that can hold it’s charm for a long time to come. It’s the “trendy” designs and furnishings that are designed strictly to be different and cool that never seem to hold up over time. Just one ex-realtor’s opinion there. 😀 And yes, I’ll shut up now, lol

Pretty much everything in Doha is brand new. Even those things designed to look pre-Colonial.
